About the role

As a Steampunk Salesforce Technical Lead, you will collaborate with Technical/Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions. You will develop, test, document, and maintain solutions, integrations, and data migration elements using Salesforce declarative and programmatic development resources such as triggers, workflows, validations, approvals, Apex classes, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components. You will execute test plans to ensure quality delivery using test code and unit tests, follow coding standards, and participate in code reviews to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform based on industry best practices and business needs
  • Manage the implementation of improvements and new functionality in Salesforce applications
  • Deliver support and solutions for break/fix issues
  • Communicate and collaborate with technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues, and creative solutions
  • Perform Salesforce administration tasks including creating accounts/profiles, defining fields, and updating layouts, reports, and dashboards
  • Support Salesforce configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows, and automated approvals
  • Conduct data migration analysis, manipulation, and load activities for system cutover and Salesforce go-live
  • Handle multiple projects and priorities using proven project management methodologies and sound development practices
  • Monitor Salesforce usage for compliance and maintain data security
  • Interface with business analysts and technical staff to deliver complete work products
  • Implement AppExchange solutions and research integration issues
  • Research and develop Salesforce prototypes and applications, staying current on Force.com technologies
  • Build client trust and relationships, establish rapport, and participate in team meetings
  • Document best practices and operational procedures and facilitate continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce development
  • 8+ years of total professional experience
  • Functional knowledge of Salesforce data structure and ability to leverage the platform to meet complex process and reporting requirements
  • Proven knowledge and practical application of Visualforce, Apex programming, Force.com APIs, and Web Services
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a government Public Trust security clearance
  • At minimum, current Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II and App Builder certifications
  • Experience with Java-based applications
  • Experience with VSCode with Salesforce DX and Git version control
  • Experience delivering Salesforce projects using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies
  • Experience with Salesforce development and deployment tools
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and overseeing the work of junior developers
  • Experience with Salesforce Communities and Flows
  • Ability to translate user stories into working software with minimal oversight

  • Unique combination of business acumen and strong technical background in Salesforce
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results under aggressive timelines
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical and non-technical audiences in geographically dispersed environments
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and analysis
  • Proactive in recommending process improvements and demonstrating creative thinking
  • Self-motivated with the ability to grasp concepts quickly
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

About Steampunk

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000.
