Salesforce Senior Applications Developer

AmeriHealth Caritas is seeking a dynamic Salesforce Senior Applications Developer to join our fast-growing Member Services Team. In this role, you will use your ‘can do attitude’ and strong hands-on technical knowledge to deliver and build solutions on AmeriHealth’s Member CRM platform using Salesforce and Microsoft SQL on Azure.

About the role

As a team member of the Member CRM Team, you will analyze, develop, deliver, and triage in the highly challenging and rewarding healthcare domain. You will be a critical part of the future of Healthcare IT at AmeriHealth Caritas. This role supports complex development efforts and implementations related to Member CRM, integration, and internally developed applications. The Senior Applications Developer is responsible for constructing the best solutions to meet business needs and involving them in complex implementations.

This is a 100% remote position, but you must live in EST or CST time zones.

Responsibilities

• Understand user requirements and user stories effectively, seeking clarifications proactively
• Design and implement multiple complex system integrations and features
• Work collaboratively with the architecture team to ensure the proposed solution aligns with enterprise architecture direction
• Ensure team and solutions follow AmeriHealth SDLC practices, standards, and enterprise architecture guidelines
• Analyze and reduce complex problems into simple, manageable components
• Carry out systematic problem identification, analysis, and resolution
• Perform hands-on solution development on the Salesforce platform
• Design, develop, code, and test programs from specifications
• Compose technical and non-technical documents such as design specifications, operation guides, process flows, and other technical schematics
• Participate in agile development methodology to drive outcomes
• Review other developers' and contractors' work

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field
• At least six (6)+ years of software development experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in Salesforce LWC and Apex development
• Experience in Salesforce Flows, Visual Flows, Flow Triggers, Validation Rules
• Expertise in MS SQL and/or other RDBMS development is a must
• Strong experience with DevOps tools: Git/Bitbucket, VS Code, Jenkins
• Strong experience in Agile development methodology
• Excellent collaborative mentality, verbal, and written communication skills
• Experience working with Salesforce IS partners and offshore teams

Qualifications

• Salesforce Developer II Certification (preferred)
• Additional Salesforce Certifications
• Experience in the Healthcare Payer industry
