The Opportunity The Sales Technology Developer is an early-career software and platform engineer who helps build, test, configure, and support Salesforce-based capabilities for the GB360 Sales scaled delivery team. The role supports Sales Cloud, opportunity and pipeline workflows, Book of Business views, seller productivity, Sales and Underwriting collaboration, and sales-service handoffs. This role works with Product Owners, Functional Analysts, Architects, Tech Leads, QA, DevSecOps, vendor partners, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, maintainable Salesforce solutions. The developer is expected to apply configuration-first thinking, use approved AI-assisted engineering practices responsibly, and grow Salesforce technical depth under guidance from senior Salesforce engineers and technical leaders. Key Responsibilities Assist in building, testing, implementing, and supporting Salesforce-based GB360 Sales capabilities using Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, declarative configuration, and platform APIs as appropriate. Support Sales Cloud and seller-productivity capabilities including opportunity workflows, pipeline processes, Book of Business views, activity capture, reporting, and sales-service handoffs. Apply configuration-first thinking to minimize unnecessary customization while supporting approved custom development when needed. Assist with user stories, estimates, technical notes, test inputs, release documentation, and support materials in partnership with product, functional, QA, and technical teammates. Support integrations connecting GB360 Sales with enterprise platforms such as Data Hubs, Seismic, underwriting, pricing, MetIQ, workflow systems, analytics, and related Sales Technology ecosystem components. Use approved AI-assisted development tools to support technical analysis, code generation, test design, documentation, defect analysis, and release preparation while applying human review and secure development practices. Participate in SAFe and Agile routines including PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, dependency discussions, defect triage, and production readiness reviews. Participate in peer reviews of Salesforce code, configuration, solution designs, test approaches, deployment plans, and release materials. Develop and execute unit tests, support automated testing where applicable, assist with system/integration testing and UAT, and help resolve defects before release. Assist with production support, incident investigation, performance tuning, Salesforce security or permission issues, integration failures, and technical debt remediation under guidance. Required Qualifications Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 1+ years of experience in software development, Salesforce development, application support, configuration, automation, or other technical delivery work. Internship, academic, project, or professional experience developing, testing, or supporting software, CRM, SaaS, or enterprise platform solutions. Exposure to Salesforce development or configuration concepts such as Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, data model, objects, fields, reports, dashboards, or Salesforce APIs. Understanding of Salesforce security model principles such as profiles, permission sets, sharing, roles, field-level security, authentication concepts, or data access controls. Working understanding of source control, deployment practices, automated testing, secure coding, issue tracking, release readiness, and production support concepts. Familiarity with Agile or SAFe delivery teams, including story refinement, estimation, sprint execution, testing support, demos, and release readiness. Interest in using approved AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, documentation, testing, and learning. Ability to learn Salesforce platform patterns, limits, integration concepts, and enterprise delivery standards quickly with guidance. Strong communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Salesforce Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, Salesforce Administrator, or comparable Salesforce Trailhead/project experience. Exposure to Sales Cloud, opportunity management, pipeline workflows, Book of Business concepts, activity management, CRM Analytics, Salesforce Connect, or managed packages. Exposure to Salesforce Einstein-enabled capabilities, AI-assisted CRM workflows, recommendations, natural-language retrieval, or guided selling features. Familiarity with AutoRabit, Copado, Azure DevOps, Git, SFDX, Jenkins, Code Builder, or comparable Salesforce release and DevOps tooling. Experience with REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Bulk APIs, event-based patterns, data migration, ETL/ELT, middleware, or enterprise integration concepts. Experience with Seismic, Data Hub integrations, underwriting, pricing, MetIQ, workflow orchestration, analytics, or other enterprise data and content platforms. Experience in insurance, group benefits, broker/customer relationship management, commercial sales, sales operations, or enterprise CRM transformation. Exposure to accessibility, mobile Salesforce considerations, governor-limit awareness, performance troubleshooting, or production support standards. Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office. The expected salary range for this position is $76,050 - $112,500. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
