Salesforce Developer

Location: Philadelphia, PA or Rockville, MD preferred.

About the role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Salesforce Developer to contribute to the development, customization, and maintenance of Salesforce applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Salesforce, with the ability to design, implement, and optimize solutions that align with business requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create scalable solutions that enhance the user experience and support business growth.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components to meet business requirements.
• Customize Salesforce applications, including workflows, reports, dashboards, process automation, and data models to align with business needs.
• Deliver high-quality solutions based on cross-cutting functional requirements including business, performance, scalability, compatibility, internationalization, security, auditing, diagnostics & logging, and failover and disaster recovery.
• Provide support during work and off hours (emergencies), including defect fixes, data modifications, and emergency support.
• Establish and implement standards and practices to ensure the highest degree of software quality.
• Interface with client teams to resolve development issues.
• Collaborate with the Business Analysis team to help elicit or review business requirements.
• Collaborate with business leaders to determine how to best use technology to enable their growth and success.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud, with hands-on knowledge of Agentforce for building and deploying AI-driven agent solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce development tools such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
• Experience with Salesforce configuration tools like Process Builder, Flow Builder, and Workflow Rules.
• Hands-on experience in creating and customizing reports, dashboards, and data models within Salesforce.
• Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus.
• Experience with integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools.
• Experience working with Salesforce data management tools (Data Loader, Data Import Wizard).
• Excellent customer engagement skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus.
• Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines.
• BS/BA in a relevant field or equivalent years' experience.

• Salesforce Certifications.
• Experience with Copado.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $100,000–$130,000.

Work Environment

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The physical demands are largely sedentary, with some light lifting of files possibly needed.
