Position Overview

The Salesforce Architect / Technical Product Owner will lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-quality Salesforce solutions within the Global CRM team, while also managing and mentoring other Salesforce professionals on the team.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Salesforce professionals (admins, developers, analysts), setting technical direction and reviewing their work for quality and best practice.

  • Architect end-to-end Salesforce solutions, defining data models, integration patterns, and system architecture in line with business and operational requirements.

  • Evaluate and recommend the right build approach for each need: declarative tools (Flows, Lightning App Builder, Reports/Dashboards) vs. custom development (Apex, Lightning Components) vs. purchasing an existing AppExchange or third-party solution, balancing speed, cost, and long-term maintainability.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI to drive process efficiencies across Salesforce-supported workflows.

  • Scope projects and provide effort/timeline estimates for prioritization and roadmap planning.

  • Manage delivery using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate to the project.

  • Integrate third-party systems with Salesforce using REST/SOAP APIs, and enterprise ETL tools.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate desired outcomes into technical specifications and a project plan covering business decisions, configuration changes, and dependencies.

  • Own and groom the Salesforce product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders and delivery teams.

  • Review existing and proposed solutions, recommending improvements to design, performance, and scalability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce and its integrations.

  • Own and manage the resolution of Salesforce user support requests, including SLA tracking in the case management system.

  • Build strong working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders to ensure business requirements are understood, documented, and met.

  • Apply a lean-agile mindset; break down complex or ambiguous problems into rational, actionable steps; adapt plans as new information emerges.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement new processes as technologies, risks, and methodologies evolve.

  • Recognize when team members need support and provide it in a way that builds their confidence and skill.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years of Salesforce experience, including 5+ years in a Solutions Architect, Technical Product Owner, or similar technical-leadership capacity.

  • 5+ years of experience directly leading or managing a team, ideally a technical/Salesforce team.

  • Experience in the capital markets, asset management, or private markets industry strongly preferred.

  • Multiple current Salesforce certifications required; strong candidates will hold certifications spanning Administrator, Platform App Builder, and Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud Consultant, with Architect-track (Application Architect, System Architect) or Agentforce Specialist certifications a significant plus.

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, Lightning App Builder) and working knowledge of Apex triggers and classes.

  • Experience with enterprise integration and ETL tools.

  • Experience analyzing data using query languages such as SQL and SOQL.

  • Demonstrated experience scoping projects and estimating delivery timelines.

  • Experience delivering work using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.

  • Active participation in the Salesforce Community (Trailblazer community, user groups, etc.) a plus.
