Salesforce Administrator
About the Role
Our IT team is seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator to help develop our enterprise CRM capabilities. In this role, you will work with a talented, diverse team to deliver software solutions that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. You will develop, implement, and support enterprise custom and packaged applications, as well as perform analytical activities to ensure application functionality, availability, and performance. IDEXX leads with agile responses to evolving practice needs and a holistic approach to systems integration, focusing on customer-centric solutions that deliver value for practices, pets, and their families.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, understand, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions with a focus on user experience, leveraging Salesforce best practices.
- Design, configure, test, debug, and document programs based on technical configurations developed by analysts and project teams.
- Provide daily system/application administration, including managing access, security, and monitoring system stability and capacity.
- Assess technical requirements for requests and projects, and communicate results and estimates to business stakeholders and IT counterparts.
- Serve as a technical liaison on systems development, upgrade, and enhancement project teams between business clients, IT Infrastructure, and development groups.
- Develop strong business relationships with assigned clients, departments, and vendors to ensure successful system implementations and support.
- Follow Internal Audit policies and procedures and provide information as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Manage sandbox environments and adhere to Agile/Scrum development practices.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of related Salesforce Administration experience.
- Location: Must live within the New England area (Maine, NH, or MA). Hybrid flexibility is available:
- If within driving distance of Westbrook, ME (corporate HQ), a maximum of 8 days per month on-site is required.
- If located in NH or MA, less frequent on-site attendance is an option.
- Experience with Salesforce features and tools, including:
- Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes.
- Fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration.
- Dashboards, territory management, and reports.
- Development/integration/deployment tools (Data Loader, Workbench, Force.com, ANT, IDE/VSCode, Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SFDX).
- Strong Salesforce product knowledge, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Mobile Design.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a complex and highly-integrated Salesforce implementation.
- Excellent customer service, business relationship-building, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator (required).
- Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
- Familiarity with writing test classes and a basic understanding of the Salesforce development landscape, including Apex and Lightning Web Components.
- Experience or familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Salesforce Maps, Tableau CRM, and CPQ.

- Base annual salary target: $90,000 - $105,000 (flexible based on experience).
