Salesclerk Sporting Goods (PT)

Essential Functions

• Helping customer locate merchandise and informing customer of any product knowledge that may be helpful.
• Verifying proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise.
• Operating handheld Telxon and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Removing damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
• Following company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads.
• Ensuring a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Aiding customers with special order requests and sales.
• Attending store and job-related meetings along with completion of required Outfitter trainings.
• Communicating with Customers, Management and all store employees.
• Following all applicable Company, local, state and federal guidelines.
• Ensuring that your work area is clean and has sufficient supplies to complete assigned duties.
• As needed, operating cash registers and assisting with customer carry outs.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks and/or tow motors.
• Weight lifting capability up to and including 50 lbs.
• Certain positions may require additional certifications or training.

Minimum Requirements of Training and Experience

• Minimum Age requirement is 21 years old before first date of employment.
• Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
• Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow.
