Essential Functions
- Help customers locate departmental merchandise and educate them on product knowledge.
- Verify the proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise.
- Operate a handheld Telxon and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Remove damaged merchandise from the floor as needed.
- Follow Company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
- Aid customers with special order requests and sales.
- Attend store and job-related meetings along with completion of required in-house training.
- Communicate effectively with Customers, Management, and all store employees.
- Follow all applicable Company, local, state and federal guidelines.
- Ensure that your work area is clean and has sufficient supplies to complete assigned duties.
- Operate cash registers and assist with customer carry outs (as needed).
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and/or tow motors.
- Weightlifting capability up to and including 50 lbs.
- Consistent attendance for regularly scheduled work shifts is required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Completes special projects directed by management and additional responsibilities may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.
Minimum Requirements of Training and Experience
- Minimum Age requirement is 16 years old.
- Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
