Gun Counter Salesclerk (PT)

About the role

The Gun Counter Salesclerk reports to the Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor on duty. This position is classified as non-exempt/hourly and part-time.

Responsibilities

• Aid customers in understanding product knowledge and handling special order requests.
• Maintain a firearm owners identification (F.O.I.D.) card for Illinois residents and a valid driver's license for Missouri/Iowa residents.
• Comply with all firearm sale procedures and ATF regulations, including completing the 4473 form.
• Operate a handheld Telxon device.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to company guidelines.
• Follow loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Attend store and job-related meetings.
• Communicate effectively with customers, management, and coworkers.
• Adhere to all applicable company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Ensure the work area is clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Operate cash registers and assist with customer carry-outs.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Lift up to and including 50 lbs.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Additional Responsibilities

Completes special projects directed by management and additional responsibilities may be assigned throughout the store at any given time.

Minimum Requirements of Training and Experience

• Minimum age requirement is 21 years old.
• Illinois residents must carry a valid F.O.I.D. card.
• Missouri/Iowa residents must have a valid driver's license.
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Great attention to detail and accuracy are required.
• A positive attitude and a passion for collaboration with team members are essential.
