About the role

The Sales & Use Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal sales and use tax laws. This includes analyzing taxability issues, preparing tax returns, and providing guidance to other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze taxability issues and provide recommendations to resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns accurately and timely.
  • Provide guidance and training to department staff on tax laws and regulations.
  • Monitor industry trends and legislative changes that impact sales and use taxes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate tax calculations and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and use tax management.
  • Knowledge of state and federal sales and use tax laws.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Pay

$XX.XX per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
