Job Summary
The Sales Support / Customer Service Representative will handle day-to-day customer issues including returns, missing products, missed deliveries, wrong materials, and sales errors.
Job Duties
- Establish strong working relationships with employees and customers to exceed customer expectations
- Resolve product or service problems by clarifying complaints, determining root causes, explaining solutions, expediting corrections, and following up
- Process customer adjustments - create paperwork for returns and process credits
- Dispatch for drivers; obtain contact information and correct wrong addresses when needed
- Contact drivers for Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) for customers
- Handle Return Authorizations with Vendors
- Access daily delivery manifests
- Maintain the hot list; communicate between departments
- Make changes to redeliver for wrong addresses or reschedule deliveries
- Manage missed deliveries - enter Error Reports and communicate to the branch needing to redeliver
Requirements
- Demonstrate strong ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Show excellent computer skills and capability to operate NEFCO's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Eclipse, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Display excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Show strong customer service skills
- Maintain excellent regular attendance and punctuality to ensure timely responses to customers
- Pay close attention to detail and work accurately with a sense of urgency and integrity
- A degree is preferred (industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
- Have 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in construction supply sales
- This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime
