About the Opportunity
We are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven Community & Business Development Manager to help grow and strengthen a thriving membership organization serving retirees and active older adults.
Key Responsibilities
Generate new memberships through community outreach, networking, presentations, and relationship development
Build strategic partnerships with local organizations, chambers of commerce, retirement communities, and other community groups
Congduct presentations and educational sessions to prospective members
Create and manage campaigns to re-engage former members
Maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective members and referral sources
Own the membership sales process from initial contact through enrollment
Foster a welcoming and highly engaged membership community
Connect members with one another to encourage meaningful relationships and participation
Increase member involvement across programs, events, and activities
Serve as a visible and trusted representative of the organization
Coordinate and host social events, educational workshops, and member activities
Partner with subject matter experts to deliver valuable educational programming
Launch and support member interest groups, clubs, and special initiatives
Ensure events are well attended, professionally executed, and aligned with member interests
Qualifications
Proven success in sales, business development, membership growth, community building, or relationship-based client acquisition
Experience presenting to groups and representing an organization publicly
Strong networking and relationship-building skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Comfortable using technology, social media, and modern business tools
Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently
Available to attend occasional evening events
