Responsibilities
- Your first week: Learn about PLS Logistics Services and the logistics industry; participate in training and orientation; familiarize yourself with the business model and transportation management system; get on the phones and grow your network.
- Your first month: Continue to develop a portfolio of clients by cold calling; understand how to negotiate pricing to close deals; take charge of client service issues; seek out promotional opportunities to move up the ranks.
- Your first six months: Be the trusted advisor to your customer; liaise with Logistics Coordinators; maintain a strong understanding of the industry.
- Your first year and after: Write your own ticket; be open to coaching and learning while putting in the time and effort to be successful.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred)
- Logistics brokerage experience (preferred)
- Self-motivated
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
