Sales Representative (Portland, OR - PD)
About the role
The Sales Representative plays a crucial role in implementing marketing and sales strategies to promote products effectively within an assigned territory. This position involves delivering balanced and informative sales presentations to current and prospective customers, including healthcare practitioners, hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, and retail/wholesaler accounts. The role requires strategic business planning, territory management, and compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements.
This position requires 50% travel, which may include overnight stays, and occasional weekend coverage for patient programs.
Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed all product sales performance goals within the assigned territory through strategic business planning.
- Manage the distribution of samples and record transactions in accordance with company policy and PDMA guidelines.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive sales presentations using approved marketing materials to communicate product value propositions.
- Create and adhere to a daily call schedule to ensure efficient coverage of the territory, focusing on top target customers.
- Maintain accurate territory information and demonstrate expertise in disease states and indications relevant to promoted products.
- Implement the Amneal selling model and DiSC personality profile to enhance customer interactions.
- Perform pre- and post-call analysis to optimize customer engagement outcomes.
- Review and analyze sales data and utilize developmental budget funds to drive results.
- Complete administrative reports on time and meet related deadlines.
- Safeguard company assets (e.g., laptop, iPad, fleet vehicle) and ensure proper care.
- Enter calls promptly into the Veeva System via iPad and check/respond to email daily.
- Adhere to all company and compliance policies, guidelines, and reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Life Sciences, Marketing, or a relevant field (required).
- 3+ years of experience in the life science industry; specialty pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred.
- Licenses required upon hire (specific licenses not listed).
Pay
The base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $140,000 per year. Additionally, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, within the first 12 months. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other relevant skills.
