Sales Representative - Landscape Design

Responsibilities

• Customer service: Set up appointments with customers, meet and interview customers onsite, determine their needs, and what materials would be appropriate for the site and to meet the customer's goals.
• Site analysis: Conduct site analysis of customer’s project areas including grading for drainage, elevations, sunlight levels, soil type, note public and private utilities, relevant site furnishings, and relevant plant materials.
• Design development: Estimate project costs, draft plans to scale, gather product specifications, develop a complete project proposal for the customer.
• Selling process: Meet customers and review their project costs and design for their property. Revise estimates as required by customer requests and edit all drawings to ensure accuracy for the project.
• Follow-up: Present final proposals to customers with the intent to close the sale and complete all contractual paperwork, terms, and deposits.
• Project management: Ensure design intent is carried out to Bachman's standards, which includes managing Bachman's Landscape crews and all required subcontractors.
• Subcontractor coordination: Work with approved subcontractors to obtain accurate estimates for various services such as decks, walls, patios, fences, lighting, tree and shrub removal, sod installation, and sprinkler installation.
• Final walkthrough: Conduct final walk-throughs on site with customers at the end of their project to ensure satisfaction with all aspects of the project.
• Billing: Collect all final payments and address any billing questions with the customer to ensure accurate billing.
• Administrative support: Handle administrative paperwork, meetings, telephone, and email messaging.
• Sales support: Sell in other departments as required during off-peak seasons.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related field preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work independently and as part of a team are required. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
