Sales Representative, Commercial Vehicle
About the role
The Commercial Vehicle Sales Representative will promote growth while solidifying long-term retention of the existing customer base and gaining new prospects. This role has primary responsibility for managing a territory, driving revenue, profitability, new customer gains, and customer retention with a high sense of urgency. The role plays a key part in new sale acquisitions and accurate forecasting, demonstrating ownership, commitment, and accountability to the territory and its organizational goals.
This is a fully remote role requiring a local presence in the Toronto, CAN surrounding area to allow for onsite visits at customer sites. Relocation is not eligible for this position. You must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction or sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Act as a peer-mentor, encouraging accountability, leading by example, and developing cohesion among the team to keep them focused on territory and business objectives.
- Lead the territory in developing and executing a comprehensive plan consistent with business objectives, ensuring the team has the authority, understanding, and resources to execute the plan.
- Understand customer base requirements and apply value-added offerings to meet regional goals while keeping Axalta’s best interests in mind.
- Pioneer new, innovative opportunities and take on challenges that contribute to the territory’s success.
- Maintain a balance of building strong, collaborative relationships with the sales team and customers while prioritizing Axalta’s interests and goals.
- Understand the current and future business environment and industry trends to prioritize, target, and effectively retain current customers while selling to new ones.
- Accurately communicate the key attributes and advantages of Axalta’s product, color, and service offerings through designed proposals.
- Promote adherence to Axalta’s core values and commitment to change.
- Manage and develop people, including compensating, coaching, appraising, and training sales personnel (preferred).
- Demonstrate strong sales and negotiation skills to effectively present business proposals in a multi-level sales environment.
- Wear proper PPE as required.
Requirements
- Experienced sales professional with a strong industry and technical background, ideally in Commercial Vehicle sales.
- Proven track record of achievement in sales and customer support, with the ability to assimilate into a local sales team while leading by example.
- Effective written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
- Competent computer skills, proficient with SharePoint, Cognos, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
- Embraces change in all business aspects, including emerging industry trends, new technology, and innovative ideas to improve territory results.
- Focuses on customer needs, responds quickly to resolve problems, and considers how actions will affect current and new business gains.
- Sound working knowledge of Commercial Vehicle business fundamentals, including sales processes, front office administration, marketing, and production operations.
- Self-discipline and self-management to maintain effective performance in unstructured and autonomous conditions.

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 CAD annually. The actual offer will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location.
