Responsibilities
This entry-level sales position is responsible for learning the company’s product portfolio, manufacturing capabilities, target markets, and competitive advantages to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and value propositions.
- Manages the day-to-day sales and marketing operations within assigned area or product line(s)
- Meets and/or exceeds assigned sales targets by providing solid customer service to existing customers and developing new markets for existing and new products
- Develop a high degree of technical product knowledge and work with existing and potential customers to develop solutions that expand the use of our products while strengthening the business relationship
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with customer base, ensuring a high level of customer service
- Monitors sales trends advising management of opportunities and challenges in a timely manner
- Recommends the initiation of sales strategies that enhance market share and meet/exceed objectives
- Works with product development and marketing personnel on product life-cycle issues, customer needs for new products, and other related issues
- Assist with preparation of quotations, commercial proposals, product samples, technical presentations, sales reports, meeting summaries, pipeline updates, forecasts, and other sales-related activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business, Marketing, or another related technical or business discipline required.
0-2 years’ experience with approximately one year of sales, business development, customer service, administrative support, internship, or other relevant professional experience preferred.
- Technical knowledge and demonstrated sales skills in the plastics/chemical arena preferred
- Strong communications skills – oral, written, and presentation
- Ability to close sales and handle difficult customer relations situations
- Excellent time management skills/organizational and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience in using CRM software, particularly Salesforce, is preferred
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
Pay
Salary: $77,644 - $86,702 (depending on experience)
Schedule
This position is based on site at the PEF Division in Front Royal, VA and requires the ability to travel 25-50% of the time depending on customer and business needs.
