Sales Representative

About the role
The Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and converting qualified leads into customers. This role represents Intentional Accounting in a professional and consultative manner by identifying client needs, providing appropriate recommendations, and communicating with integrity throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of sales experience, is comfortable with both inbound and outbound sales activity, and demonstrates strong follow-up, organization, communication, and closing skills. This position manages prospects throughout the sales pipeline and consistently contributes to organizational revenue goals.
Responsibilities
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound prospecting, cold calls, and email.
- Maintain a high level of daily prospecting activity, including approximately 50–75 outbound calls per day.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospective clients' accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and tax needs.
- Build rapport with prospects and clearly communicate the value of Intentional Accounting's services.
- Consistently follow up with leads and prospective clients throughout the sales cycle.
- Manage a pipeline of qualified prospects using the company CRM and perform daily reviews of leads, follow-up activity, and lead sources.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM documentation, including conversations, follow-up dates, opportunities, and next steps.
- Convert qualified prospects into new clients while maintaining a professional, consultative sales approach.
- Meet or exceed established monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets.
- Meet established performance expectations related to qualified conversations, appointments, conversions, pipeline development, and revenue.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to client.
- Be a contributing member of the team in revenue, culture, and brand image.
- Attend and participate in internal meetings, sales coaching, and required training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Proven ability to build rapport, identify client needs, overcome objections, and move opportunities toward a successful close.
- Strong prospecting, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable initiating conversations with prospective clients through high-volume outbound calling.
- Ability to ask effective discovery questions, listen actively, and recommend solutions based on client needs.
- Results-oriented with demonstrated ability to work toward sales goals, activity expectations, and revenue targets.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership over individual sales performance.
- Ability to manage multiple prospects, follow-up commitments, and competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Adaptable to changes in the work environment, sales strategy, processes, technology, and client needs.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and develop appropriate solutions.

Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma required.
- Minimum 2 years of professional sales experience required.
- 2–5 years of sales experience preferred.
- Experience with outbound prospecting, lead follow-up, pipeline management, and closing sales preferred.
- Experience in B2B sales, professional services, financial services, accounting, tax, payroll, SaaS, insurance, or consultative sales strongly preferred.
- Experience working with small and midsize business owners is a plus.
- CRM experience preferred.

$45,000–$80,000 per year
