Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and target new repair, remodel and new construction business opportunities by developing and executing strategies for prospecting and cold outreach (calls, emails, networking, events)
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from lead generation through close
- Conduct virtual or in-person presentations, site visits, and product demonstrations
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales Director/Sales Manager, Branch Manager, and local supply center teams) to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records and activity reports
- Stay informed and report market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
Qualifications
- Successful sales history with a minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience
- Proven track record of generating new business and consistently meeting/exceeding quotas
- Experience within the building materials industry is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Self-motivated, disciplined, highly organized, customer-focused
- Proven experience in new business selling and upselling
- Technical Acumen - High comfort level with daily computer use, data entry, and navigating various technical environments (Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and practical experience with Salesforce)
