About the role
Hendrick Chevrolet (Cary) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Salesperson to join our team. Located at 100 Auto Mall Drive, Cary, North Carolina 27511, this role involves selling new or used vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Sells new or used vehicles at a profit to the dealership
- Greets customers and determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired
- Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on demonstration drive
- Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase
- Computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade-in allowance, and discount
- Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including but not limited to, preparing sales slip or sales contract
- Arranges for delivery and registration of vehicle
- Researches availability of models and optional equipment
- Engages in business development
- Addresses customer concerns
- Maintains Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) at or above Company standards
- Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Participates in required training
- Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
Qualifications
- Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired
- Desired Education: GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Doctorate Degree in relevant field
- Desired Work Experience: up to 3 years, 3-5 years, 5+ years
- Desired Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License, Automobile Salesperson License
- Desired Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management
- Desired Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively with customers and company personnel
- Desired Physical Demands: Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, and sit; may be exposed to various work environments and required to perform a variety of tasks; heavy standing work; frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot to interact with customers and other departments
- Desired Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Desired Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions; ability to deal with standardized situations
