About the role
Provides organization, research, communication, and resolution to the producer community regarding Moda Health, Producer Agreements, terminations, and commission inquiries. Acts as an administrative coordinator for our department and a marketing liaison for Sales and Service. This is a full-time work-from-home position.
Responsibilities
- Responds to and resolves producer commission questions, problems, and inquiries.
- Acts as liaison between accounting, membership accounting, and the producer community.
- Manages and maintains the Agent Database application.
- Issues, receives, and processes producer appointment contracts.
- Meets turn-around time objectives for appointments.
- Handles sensitive information and situations in such a manner as to enhance Moda’s image.
- Completes book of business transfers, ensuring communication occurs to the Service team on affected group business and Membership Accounting for individual business.
- Performs and maintains thorough and accurate documentation and record keeping.
- Ensures that we meet state requirements regarding licensing and appointment processing.
- Assists with agent communications, including but not limited to Broker Blasts and emails.
- Gathers, documents, analyzes, and integrates requirements for new and existing projects.
- Provides support and assists with planning, coordination, and execution of Sales events, such as producer roadshows, educational webinars, and other events.
- Researches commissions issues, and when appropriate updates corrections to our core operating system.
- Reviews, routes, and responds to voicemails and emails.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent of 3 years in health insurance and/or employee benefits/administration field and/or sales and account management experience.
- Strong sales and presentation skills required; consultative approach to developing long-term relationships with brokers and customers.
- Knowledge of Medical and Dental insurance business as it relates to contracts, state, and federal law.
- Knowledge of systems regarding enrollment and eligibility, processing of claims, handling of billings, customer service, and related information.
- Knowledge of competitive landscape, market position, and plan differentiators.
- Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals and Producers related to the provision of services designed to retain existing membership and sell new business.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Presents a positive and professional image in the communities we serve.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license; ability to travel on business as needed.
- Ability to be a self-motivator and work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to come in to work on time and daily.
- Ability to handle a pushcart/hand truck and lift boxes up to 40 lbs. in and out of the trunk of a car.
Working Conditions
- Office environment with extensive close PC and keyboard use, constant sitting, and frequent phone communication.
- Must be able to navigate multiple computer screens.
- A reliable, high-speed, hard-wired internet connection required to support remote or hybrid work.
- Must be comfortable being on camera for virtual training and meetings.
- Work in excess of standard workweek, including evenings and occasional weekends, to meet business need.
Pay
$23.34 - $26.26 hourly (depending on experience). Actual pay is based on qualifications; applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.
