Sales Metrics and Reconciliation of Trades (SMaRT)
The Sales Metrics and Reconciliation of Trades (SMaRT) team is part of the broader Client & Sales Operations team at Apollo Global Management. This role involves working closely with the Distribution Intelligence team, Global Client Management team, Finance team, and the CPS Distribution Technology team to support sales transaction management and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our transactions data.
- Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations of sales and trade activities, including sales flows, redemptions, and assets valuations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances between internal systems, second party (client trade blotters), and third party external data sources
- Identify and report any irregularities or anomalies in sales and trade transactions
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to address reconciliation issues and implement corrective actions
Data Analysis
Analyze sales and trade data to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies. Prepare comprehensive reports and dashboards on sales, assets, and redemptions trends, highlighting key findings and actionable insights. Provide regular updates and recommendations to management regarding sales and trade reconciliation processes and improvement opportunities.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance sales and trade reconciliation processes and procedures
- Implement automation and system enhancements to streamline reconciliation activities and reduce manual efforts
- Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to implement new tools or technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy
Compliance and Audit Support
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls related to sales and trade reconciliation. Assist in audits by providing accurate and supporting documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as needed. Develop and maintain documentation of reconciliation processes, controls, and procedures.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
- High data literacy, analysis techniques, and ability to communicate insights to drive collective decision-making
- Organized and effective execution – set and manage expectations, model work ethic, proactively manage efforts across multiple teams, rigorously communicate
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and reasoning skills (e.g., adheres to best practices in meeting management, regularly completes tasks and conducts business with minimal supervision)
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and genuine willingness to learn, results-oriented, and highly accountable
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various internal and external constituents
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional attention to detail to identify data inconsistencies and anomalies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and reconciliation tools (e.g., Excel, Corporate ERP systems, Alteryx, etc.)
- Experience with reporting tools including Power BI, Alteryx, and Tableau
- Knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation best practices
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $110,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed here.
