Job Summary
You will complete a comprehensive paid training program that, upon successful completion, will set the foundation of success for you as our Assistant General Manager. As a Sales Manager, you will be the heart and soul of the member service functions within the club. As a PickUp USA ambassador, you will promote, sell, and add to the PickUp USA culture inside and out of the facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Aid the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and nurturing friendly and inclusive team members to support the needs of members
- Possess the ability to prospect and follow-up with leads relentlessly
- Sell memberships and retail
- Drive operational results through team accountability
- Drive financial results through sound operation, that creates a high value proposition for our customers
- Monetize this high value proposition through persistence, diligence, and skilled salesmanship
- Conduct in-person consultations
- Present club tours
- Closely work with the General Manager to fulfill operational and sales responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience in customer-facing position with demonstrated customer-service skills
- Experience in prospecting and sales with demonstrated strong communication skills
- Leadership skills and experience supervising, directing, and coaching teams
Minimum Educational Level
A High School Diploma
Minimum Work Experience And Qualifications
- 1-3 years of sales experience (REQUIRED)
- 1-3 years of broad retail/hospitality/operations industry experience
- 1-3 years of management/leadership experience
- Basketball experience and passion
- Fitness Industry Experience (preferred)
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions
- Ability to work in fitness club; move about club floors and rooms; review, revise, create club paperwork; communicate with employees, members, prospects, club owner, & vendors
- Occasionally required to demonstrate or explain proper physical fitness activities, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to communicate telephonically with members and prospects
- Ability to access and operate Company computer systems including preparing documents, entering data into computer systems, reading reports from a computer data base or email system
- While performing the duties of this job, regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- The noise level in the environment is occasionally loud
- Ability to work a varied schedule to support the needs of the business, including frequent extended workdays, and weekends and holidays may be required
Required/Preferred Qualifications
- Sales experience is required
- Basketball Experience Is Required
- Fitness industry experience is preferred
Compensation
This position offers base pay PLUS commission
