About the role
The Sales Manager oversees daily sales operations, coaches and develops the sales team, and ensures consistent achievement of sales and gross profit goals. This role requires strong leadership, accountability, and the ability to analyze performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and departmental goals
- Monitor and improve sales performance, gross profit, and CSI scores
- Desk deals, structure transactions, and ensure profitability while maintaining compliance
- Train and develop sales consultants on product knowledge, sales process, and CRM usage
- Ensure proper follow-up processes are in place for leads, showroom traffic, and sold customers
- Review and maintain accurate deal documentation and reporting
- Collaborate with F&I and service departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Enforce dealership policies, ethical standards, and compliance requirements
Requirements
- Previous automotive sales management experience required (CDJR experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Proven track record of achieving sales and gross profit targets
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and accountability
- Able to read and analyze reports, including sales, gross, and inventory data
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems and dealership management software
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Previous automotive sales management experience required (CDJR experience preferred)
