Sales Leader (Countertop)
About the role
Responsible for leading and guiding a team of sales representatives within a team by setting goals and quotas, building a sales plan and assigning sales training and territories.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
- Review market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
- Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
- Direct channel development activity and coordinate sales distribution by establishing quotas and goals.
- Advise dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
- Cookordinate activities of sales staff within the team.
- Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and assist dealers in promoting sales.
- Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
- Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
- Meet with key clients and assist sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Cookordinate liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.
- Aid other departments within the company to prepare manuals and technical publications.
- Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client-based expansion.
- Direct product research and needs of a product within a given region.
- Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competitions.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to complete the following essential duties and responsibilities:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college or two to four years of related experience and/or training.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Good business sense.
- Ability to motivate, coach, mentor and lead a team.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Good planning and organization skills.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
