About the Role
The Sales Lead supports Management in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, where our values and guiding principles drive store operations, customer experience, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Establish and communicate clear expectations, holding the store team accountable for brand, performance, and behavior standards.
- Perform and oversee basic operational activities, including opening/closing duties and merchandise flow processes.
- Supervise associates in sales, inventory, cash reconciliation, and customer services.
- Utilize weekly schedules to ensure proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and merchandise presentation standards.
- Drive a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to meet assigned sales and productivity goals.
- Train and coach the team on product knowledge, locate fulfillment, and selling techniques.
- Motivate and inspire the store team, promoting a shared vision and core values.
- Model, teach, and promote Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles for a cohesive omnichannel experience.
- Utilize sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers, build a customer following, and resolve concerns promptly.
- Ensure a fast and efficient register experience, adhering to policies on payments, returns, and security.
- Maintain consistent client communication through customer books, rewards programs, and sign-ups.
- Support and implement training programs, deliver coaching, and provide feedback for associate performance appraisals.
- Drive associate engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance.
- Ensure adherence to all employment practices and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary by brand.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of retail or sales management experience preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
- Able to learn or adapt to company-provided technology.
- Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Constant walking/standing: 67-100% of an 8-hour shift.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.: 1-33% of an 8-hour shift.
- Frequent climbing: 34-66% of an 8-hour shift.
