Role Description

The Sales-Focused Design Consultant role is a full-time, field-based sales position serving the Greater Orlando market. This role combines in-home client consultations with the flexibility to manage administrative work remotely between appointments. Our Design Consultants meet with homeowners who are already interested in custom organization solutions and guide them through the process from consultation to purchase. Consultants build relationships with clients, identify their needs, create customized design solutions, present options and pricing, and close sales for closets, home offices, entertainment centers, garages, pantries, laundry rooms, and other areas of the home. This role requires strong sales ability, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to lead a consultative sales conversation in a client's home.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting in-home consultations with qualified leads throughout Central Florida
  • Building rapport with homeowners and understanding their needs, preferences, and budget
  • Creating customized storage solutions using company design tools and processes
  • Presenting designs, materials, and pricing options
  • Managing follow-up activities and maintaining an active sales pipeline
  • Communicating with production and installation teams to ensure accurate and successful project completion
  • Representing Closet Factory’s brand and commitment to quality during client meetings, showroom appointments, and local events

Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience with a track record of achieving goals and closing business
  • Experience in consultative selling, in-home sales, remodeling, home services, luxury retail, furniture, real estate, or a related industry preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust quickly
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and driven to succeed in a commission-based sales environment
  • The ability to manage a schedule independently and prioritize follow-up activities
  • Comfortable traveling throughout the Central Florida market for client appointments
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to conduct in-home consultations
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • The ability to learn design concepts, product knowledge, measurements, and company systems
  • An eye for design, organization, and functionality is a plus, but sales experience and drive are the priority
  • Successful candidates are organized, coachable, motivated, and committed to providing an exceptional client experience while achieving sales results.
