About the role

As a Sales Executive, you will expand Automated Logic’s customer base and work to exceed sales targets. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building relationships, and delivers outstanding customer service. You will grow your clientele and coach less experienced sales specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an assigned territory and group of accounts to achieve or exceed annual sales and gross margin targets.
  • Develop long-term relationships and build partnerships with assigned accounts.
  • Position Automated Logic (ALC) as the preferred basis of building automation design.
  • Perform take-offs and bid projects using the full spectrum of ALC offerings.
  • Drive design specifications toward ALC offerings with assigned consulting engineers.
  • Work with consulting engineers to write project specification proposals that match building specifications, providing value to the customer and favorably positioning Automated Logic.
  • Negotiate with contractors regarding scope of work, specifications, pricing, and favorable terms and conditions.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and coach other sales representatives.
  • Make and deliver compelling presentations to owners and owner representatives.
  • Utilize sales tools effectively to plan and document progress, increasing business opportunities within accounts.
  • Generate a high level of activity to feed the sales pipeline and manage opportunities through the sales cycle to close.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with external customers and internal staff to ensure quality results and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the customers’ advocate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of Commercial HVAC or HVAC Controls industry experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or business (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience with HVAC controls or HVAC sales (preferred).
  • Ability to value engineer control designs with alternative solutions (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills (preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels (preferred).
  • Team player willing to collaborate with others on projects (preferred).

Pay

The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 and $158,000.00. Factors affecting pay within this range include skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may also be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
