About the role

Meter is building the modern networking infrastructure that businesses like Lyft and Reddit rely on to stay connected. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will partner with our Enterprise Sales team to bring better networks to more customers by using your technical expertise to win over the hearts and minds of IT and network engineers alike.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery calls to understand what customers find painful or frustrating about their current legacy solutions.
• Deliver world-class demonstrations that inspire, get buy-in across multiple stakeholders, from office managers to CIOs.
• Build solutions, remove obstacles, and close deals through work with customers and partners.
• Partner directly with the Account Executives on your team to create urgency and drive deals forward.
• Create new internal training, design assets for Sales, and standardize our approach to more complex technical use cases.
• Collect customer feedback from complex deployments and translate their requirements directly to the Product team, influencing our hardware and software product roadmap.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, 802.11ax/be, TLS, DHCP, DNS, NAT, 802.1X, VPNs, SD-WAN, IDS/IPS, Multicast, OSPF, BGP & EVPN-VXLAN.
• Standard industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, CWDE, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIE, Network+, Security+.
• Highly motivated technical Sales Engineer with a proven track record of success at high-growth companies.
• Obsessed with networking and passionate about driving innovation in enterprise networking.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise networking roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with enterprise networking technologies and protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

At Meter, we offer a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $140,000 - $190,000, opportunities for commission and participation in our equity plan, and a comprehensive benefits package.
