About the role

Meter is building the modern networking infrastructure that businesses like Lyft and Reddit rely on to stay connected. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will partner with our Enterprise Sales team to bring better networks to more customers by using your technical expertise to win over the hearts and minds of IT and network engineers alike.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with the Sales team, including both sales reps and leaders, to support and advise on technical matters.
  • Work closely with the Sales Engineering team to design and build technical solutions for prospects.
  • Lead technical discovery calls to understand customer pain points and frustrations with legacy solutions.
  • Deliver world-class demonstrations that inspire and get buy-in across multiple stakeholders.
  • Close deals through collaboration with customers and partners.
  • Support the Sales team by creating urgency and driving deals forward.
  • Create and maintain internal training materials and standardize documentation and training for core networking areas.
  • Translate customer feedback into product requirements for the Product team.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, 802.11ax/be, TLS, DHCP, DNS, NAT, 802.1X, VPNs, SD-WAN, IDS/IPS, Multicast, OSPF, BGP & EVPN-VXLAN.
  • Experience with standard industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, CWDE, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIE, Network+, Security+.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for networking and a desire to disrupt traditional enterprise networking practices.
  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise networking roles.
    • Proven track record of success in sales and technical roles.
    • Experience with enterprise networking technologies and protocols.

    Skills

    • Technical expertise in networking, including routing, switching, wireless, and security.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Experience with customer relationship management tools and techniques.

    Benefits

    • Base salary range: $140,000 - $190,000
    • Eligibility for commissions

    The estimated base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $190,000.
