Sales - Electrical Tendering Engineer
About the role
We are seeking an Electrical Tendering Engineer to support our power plant sales and order execution activities. This role is crucial for ensuring that electrical system designs and configurations meet customer requirements, project specifications, and internal quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Create technical specifications, SLDs, load lists, and system specifications for sourcing activities
- Calculate the budget for electrical systems and components of engine power plants
- Develop technical solutions for electrical and control engineering and support sales and project managers internally and at customer sites
- Analyze customer specifications for electrical and control engineering and translate these requirements into detailed electrical system designs
- Conceive electrical systems such as control, MV-Switchgear, LV Distribution, and SLDs and system schematics
- Coordinate and clarify technical matters with engineering, development, purchasing, and external vendors
- Prepare and present electrical systems to customers during contract negotiations, including national and international business trips
- Collect and evaluate external vendor offers, negotiate specifications and offers in collaboration with the project management and purchasing department
- Regularly review budgets considering actual costs
Requirements
- Technical proficiency and commercial acumen in electrical engineering
- 5+ years of experience in power plant engineering, electrical system design, or technical sales support
- Expertise in electrical energy and control engineering for power plants or construction
- Strong work experience in power plants and construction
- Expert knowledge in MS Office and SAP
- Comprehensive understanding of local UL regulations and relevant standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

This role is full-time and based in the United States.
