About the role
Based out of our USA office in Lower Manhattan and reporting to the VP Sales, the Sales Director leads a defined channel or account portfolio for Myprotein in North America. You will own the strategy, relationships, range pipeline and P&L for your accounts, and turn the broader omnichannel ambition into listings, sales and best-in-class execution on the ground.
It is an exciting time for the brand as it transforms from a DTC business into a true omnichannel player. We have already secured major listings with some of the largest retailers in the US and are expanding across all major channels. This role carries a strong bias to action: build the pipeline, win the range, land the launch, and grow the account.
What you will own
- Own the strategy and revenue plan for a defined channel or account portfolio
- Build a credible range pipeline focused on growing sales and brand share within your accounts
- Negotiate trade terms, trade funding and counterparts in line with strategy
- Manage the customer P&L and the level of trade investment for your portfolio
- Develop and deliver customer strategic business plans with category, brand, trading and retail teams
- Lead the launch of new products with customers, including samples, launch plans and activation agreed with social and marketing
- Manage in-month sales performance versus forecast with planning and operations
- Manage accruals and pricing accurately and efficiently with the commercial team
- Build strong buyer relationships and act as liaison between commercial and supply chain teams
- Where applicable, recruit, coach and develop direct reports
What we are looking for
- 8 to 10 years or more in B2B sales or account management
- Experience in sports nutrition or CPG is strongly advantageous
- Existing relationships with US retailers in relevant channels
- Can manage the full 360 sales process, from prospecting to orders, documentation and after-sales service
- An effective presenter who can influence buying teams and build a pipeline of submissions
- A positive, can-do attitude and high commitment, thriving in a fast-moving, solution-oriented culture
- A proactive communicator who connects the dots across cross-functional teams
- Located in or able to relocate to New York, with the right to work in the USA
