About The Team
The Platform Innovation Sales Development team supports and scales DoorDash's newest suite of platform products by connecting restaurant operators with powerful tools to run their operations and grow their business. As part of DoorDash's broader sales organization, this team plays a critical role in driving top-of-funnel growth and building strong, hyper-local relationships with restaurants across the U.S. We help operators adopt a new class of SaaS and operational solutions, ones that pair front-line restaurant technology with DoorDash's built-in demand, to fuel long-term success.
About The Role
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you'll be the first point of contact for restaurant operators exploring DoorDash's Platform Innovation solutions. You'll own the early stages of the sales process: researching prospects, identifying decision-makers, qualifying interest, and securing meetings for field sales partners across your assigned region. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by high-volume outreach, enjoys uncovering opportunities through conversation, and wants to build a strong foundation in sales. You'll bring discipline and creativity to your outreach while gaining exposure to both inside and field sales motions within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. You'll work closely with Sales leadership and field sellers to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified opportunities, while building core skills in prospecting, discovery, and storytelling. You will report to the Director of Platform Innovation Sales within the Restaurant Success organization. We expect this role to be flexible, with some time in office and some time remote. You will need the ability to travel as needed for in-person collaboration through trainings, offsites, team-building events, and other business-related necessities.
Responsibilities
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to spark engaging conversations
- Work in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment with daily activity targets
- Manage leads and outreach with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Utilize CRM and sales-engagement tools like Salesforce and Outreach, and productivity tools such as Google Workspace
- Continuously improve messaging, discovery, and qualifying techniques through feedback and practice
- Develop expertise in DoorDash's Platform Innovation products, restaurant operations, and consultative selling
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role; high-volume outbound or cold calling experience is a strong plus
- Familiarity with CRM and sales-engagement tools like Salesforce and Outreach, and productivity tools such as Google Workspace
- A proactive, coachable mindset with a desire to learn, adapt, and grow within a sales organization
- Interest in restaurants, restaurant technology, or SaaS and technology-enabled services; exposure to hardware or restaurant operating technology is a plus

Compensation
- Base salary is localized according to employee work location
- In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for sales commission
