About the role

Avalara is hiring Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to support growth by engaging with potential customers, building interest in Avalara’s products, and generating leads for the sales team. This role offers a pathway for individuals looking to develop sales skills and advance their careers.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and qualify inbound opportunities through phone, email, and other channels
  • Respond to inbound prospective customers and build interest in Avalara solutions
  • Qualify opportunities and schedule meetings for the sales team
  • Build understanding of Avalara's products, customers, and market
  • Partner with Account Executives and sales leadership to convert activity into pipeline
  • Support participation in webinars, events, and other demand generation projects when relevant
  • Achieve monthly performance goals related to lead qualification, responsiveness, and meeting generation

Requirements

  • Five days per week in-office role based in Durham, North Carolina
  • You must live within 35 miles of the office at: 512 S Mangum St, Durham, NC 27701
  • You will report to a Sales Manager
  • This role is not eligible for sponsorship
