About the Role
Join our collaborative team as a Lead Sales Development Representative at Thermo Fisher Scientific. You will contribute to market growth and build strategic partnerships in the life sciences industry. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities while developing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers across pharmaceutical, biotech, and research organizations.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers
- Leverage our comprehensive portfolio of products and services to deliver tailored solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation
- Implement comprehensive business development strategies
- Analyze market trends and position solutions to meet customer needs
- Manage cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of B2B sales experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or related industries
- Preferred fields of study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Business, or related field
- Professional business or sales training certifications valued
- Demonstrated achievement of sales targets and development of new business opportunities
- Strong understanding of CDMO/CRO services and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills with ability to engage executive leadership
- Experience in complex deal structuring and strategic account management
- Proficiency with CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and financial acumen to assess market opportunities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities
- Ability to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and industry events
- Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across functions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Adaptability in a responsive, evolving environment
