SALES COORDINATOR Hotel Emblem Temporary Position through April 2027 About The Property Located in the heart of San Francisco where Nob Hill meets Union Square and the Theater District, Hotel Emblem is a distinctive boutique hotel inspired by the city’s Beat Generation and creative spirit. The 96-room property features eclectic accommodations, a book-filled Writer’s Alcove, Obscenity Bar & Lounge, Bluestone Lane Coffee Shop, and unique programming including live jazz, poetry events, and literary experiences. With its bold design, intimate atmosphere, and central downtown location, Hotel Emblem offers guests an experience that celebrates self-expression, creativity, and the unexpected. THE ROLE As Sales Coordinator, You’ll Support The General Manager And Director Of Sales In Growing Hotel Revenue Through Group And Business Transient Business. You’ll Help Manage Sales Leads And Accounts, Coordinate Group Bookings, Support The Sales Process, And Work Closely With Hotel Teams To Make Sure Every Opportunity Is Followed Through. You Will Support the General Manager and Director of Sales with day-to-day sales initiativesAssist with developing new group, business transient, and local business opportunitiesConduct outreach to prospective accounts and help qualify new leadsMaintain and grow relationships with existing accountsSupport group bookings, including guest rooms, meetings, banquets, and F&B opportunitiesAssist with catering and sales activities as neededRespond promptly to sales inquiries, referrals, and customer correspondenceFollow up on leads, accounts, and repeat business opportunitiesMaintain accurate account and group information in the sales systemConfirm group bookings within approved availability and rate guidelinesStay informed about local competitors, market conditions, and hotel offeringsSupport site tours, networking events, civic activities, and other sales opportunitiesCommunicate group arrangements and client needs to hotel departmentsHelp create a positive, collaborative environment across Sales and CateringPromote other Parable-managed hotels when appropriatePrepare sales reports and assist with other projects and assignments What Success Looks Like Sales opportunities are organized, followed up on, and moving forward. Leads and accounts are accurately documented, group arrangements are clearly communicated, and the Sales team has a reliable partner who helps turn opportunities into business while creating a positive experience for clients and hotel teams. What We’re Looking For 1+ year of hotel sales or Front Desk experienceInterest in developing a career in hotel salesStrong communication, presentation, organization, and follow-up skillsComfortable with outreach, relationship building, and customer serviceAbility to manage multiple leads, accounts, and prioritiesStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate sales recordsProfessional and positive approach with guests, clients, and team membersAbility to make sound decisions and use good judgmentProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointEnglish speaking or bilingualDependable, organized, and team-orientedAbility to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
