Sales Coordinator
About This Opportunity
As a Sales Coordinator, you will be managing and coordinating various sales activities to support the sales organization in exceeding their sales goals and KPI metrics. The Sales Coordinator will play a key role in supporting a number of sales-related processes.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the sales territory team to prepare proposals, account comparisons or reports needed to support winning sales opportunities
- Establish an understanding of the investment management industry by reading the investment commentary, listening to podcasts, and knowing the supporting marketing materials
- Aid the Director of Inside Sales with special projects or initiatives
- Maintain and update information in Salesforce
- Proactively make outbound calls to assist the sales team in promoting webinars, campaigns, conferences, etc.
- Study to get the SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses
- If licensed, receive incoming calls via sales queue and answer questions accurately and professionally
- Promote company-sponsored events
- Aid with marketing and/or sales lists to ensure CRD is populated and ready to import into a campaign for the sales team
- Create presentations for the executive and leadership team showcasing sales figures and metrics
- Evaluate client statements and create spreadsheets with positions to do account comparisons and proposals
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all company products, including benefits and drawbacks, in order to advise representatives on choosing the correct product to meet client needs
- Read daily, weekly, and quarterly commentary produced by internal Portfolio Management team and participate in internal education
- Learn about the strategist partners, help ensure sales maps are up to date, and schedule updates for the sales team
- Update strategist availability for new RIA’s added to the system
- Build training calendars for new hires based on Director of Inside Sales direction
Requirements
Candidates should be located within a commutable distance to an office. Internal candidates currently aligned to an Orion office location may be given preference; however, internal candidates with varying work arrangements may be considered based on experience and business needs. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
The position requires a Series 65 license or both Series 7 and 66 licenses. If the required license(s) are not held at the time of hire, they must be obtained within 90 days of the start date. Failure to meet this requirement may result in termination of employment in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 months experience in customer service or inside sales – preferably in the financial services industry
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
