Essential Functions
- Cook up group room blocks
- Manage all pre-arrival and post departure tasks
- Conduct hotel site tours for walk-in guests
- Manage group files and turnover checklist
- Aid in administrative tasks
- Provide top-notch service to customers
- Set an example for immediate and hotel-wide staff
- Tackle inquiries and walk-ins for group and meeting room business
- Analyze business to make profitable decisions
- Prepare and distribute outgoing correspondence
- Manage meeting room events
- Maintain group rooming lists
- Enter rooming list, route charges, release blocks
- Prepare and distribute Group Resumes
- Handle all group special requests
- Shuttle requests, amenity form distribution, follow up, reservation cards
- Ensure collateral stock is maintained
- Know Front Desk check-in, check-out, answering phones, transferring calls, making reservations, etc.
- Maintain close relations with top accounts
- Monthly visits to clients to thank for business
- Joint calls with Director of Sales for property-specific sales blitzes and client events
- Involvement in community activities and hotel programs
- Understand selling strategies to maximize revenue
- Attend and participate in meetings
- Comply with company policies and procedures
Qualification Standards
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college education preferred
- Experience or training in same or similar field preferred
- Capable of working in a team environment
