Join our team as a Sales Clerk serving the military community and their families. In this dynamic role, you'll provide exceptional customer service, assist with product selection, and ensure a smooth shopping experience. Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and assist with merchandise selection.
- Address customer concerns promptly and provide outstanding service, including demonstrations or explanations of technical product features.
- Sell merchandise, operate a cash register, and process payments (cash, checks, credit/debit cards, gift cards).
- Balance the till at the end of each shift, reconcile sales records, and account for all monies and transactions.
- Perform periodic stock counts, participate in inventories, and replenish stock to maintain neat and presentable merchandise displays.
- Advise supervisors of customer requests and follow all policies regarding loss prevention, safety standards, and emergency preparedness.
- Implement price changes (markdowns/markups), set company promotions, and ensure proper display and signage.
- Work weekends as required and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) for stocking and inventory purposes, demonstrated by high school coursework, a GED, or high school diploma.
- Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds, and stand for long periods.
