Sales Clerk

About the Role

In this position as a Sales Clerk at Marvin Home Center, you will provide superior customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, answering questions, and checking out customers. You will also help maintain store presentation, inventory levels, and accurate product information.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and welcome them to the store
• Answer customer questions and suggest products that fit their needs
• Provide instruction on using products
• Assist with store recovery, keeping the store clean and organized
• Help maintain inventory levels and reorder products as needed
• Check and update UPC codes and SKUs
• Ensure sales signage is posted during promotions
• Answer phone calls professionally

Requirements

• Friendly, approachable, and willing to engage customers
• Positive attitude and good listening skills
• Able to lift 50 pounds and assist with heavier team lifts
• Work well with others harmoniously to reach goals
• Basic math skills sufficient to handle cash transactions
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Willingness to attend workshops, seminars, and market trade shows
