Gemaire Distributors is seeking a Sales Center Manager to oversee sales and operations for one of our wholesale distributorships serving HVAC professionals. This role is accountable for sales, customer experience, productivity, and profitability through effective team leadership.
About the role
The Sales Center Manager is responsible for managing sales center operations in a fast-paced wholesale environment. You will lead a team to drive sales growth, analyze market data, and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and employees.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of employees to achieve company goals.
- Grow sales in a retail/wholesale environment using customer, market, or competitor data.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and employees.
- Manage sales center operations, including sales, customer experience, productivity, and profitability.
- Delegate duties effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Perform occasional heavy lifting (50–100 lbs) and frequent moderate lifting (20–50 lbs).
- Operate a motor vehicle and visit customers as needed.
- Accountable for all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of operational experience in the retail or wholesale industry.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to grow sales in a retail environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the HVAC industry, including air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at the distribution level.
- Experience working with contractors.
- Prior leadership roles with P&L responsibility.
- Success in sales, operations, purchasing, and warehouse/inventory management.
- Mechanical or technical background.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays during peak season. Requires morning, afternoon, and early evening availability. Must be available for annual companywide physical inventory on weekends.
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting of 10–50 lbs (occasional up to 100 lbs).
- Frequent pulling, pushing, carrying, walking, standing, and reaching above shoulder level.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, repeated bending, and climbing.
- Constant desk work, computer use, telephone use, and operating a motor vehicle.
- Occasional operation of a commercial vehicle; no warehouse equipment operation required.
