The Role

The Sales Engineer will drive new business and support existing accounts by managing the full sales cycle for building automation projects. The role focuses on plan-and-spec, design-build, and direct owner opportunities, translating technical requirements into competitive controls solutions while partnering closely with operations to ensure successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and pricing from plans and specifications
  • Manage opportunities from pursuit through project handoff
  • Track project scope, schedule, and cost changes
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and CRM documentation
  • Present BAS software demonstrations and service offerings
  • Support margin management and post-project follow-up

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience in HVAC controls or building automation preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience a plus
