Sales Assistant
About the Role
TEGNA is looking for someone with a unique blend of administrative, computer, and sales support experience. This role is the linchpin that connects the Sales Organization to TEGNA’s clients. As the Sales Assistant, you will be the primary support person for the Sales staff and the Sales Fulfillment team, assisting in all aspects of the sales process, including good stewardship of client business.
Responsibilities
- Daily interaction with agencies and station counterparts
- Order entry, maintenance of client schedules, and regular tracking of client audience delivery
- Developing presentations and providing a high level of customer service
- Resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensuring all orders follow standardized TEGNA coding for accurate corporate reporting
- Working closely with TEGNA Sales Management to assure accuracy, continuity, and meeting sales deadlines
- Actively working in TEGNA selling platforms (WideOrbit Traffic, WideOrbit Media Sales, WideOrbit Connect, etc.)
- Creating analysis on campaigns to determine clearance trends, avails by station, sell-out percentages, revenue reporting, etc.
- Working with TCO on training opportunities for Sales Assistants
