About the role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, North America (East), this position focuses on developing customer relationships, promoting OMICRON products, and supporting sales initiatives in the North American market.

Responsibilities

  • Become technically proficient in OMICRON products and solutions
  • Develop, maintain, and foster customer relationships for assigned accounts and segments
  • Coordinate customer visits, presentations, product demonstrations, and post-sale support
  • Participate in business development, market evaluation, and sales forecasting
  • Record and maintain customer meetings, leads, opportunities, and activities in the CRM system
  • Communicate routinely with OMICRON Sales managers and stakeholders, sharing customer and market data
  • Coordinate promotional activities, conferences, user meetings, seminars, and local exhibits
  • Support additional initiatives and tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in power systems, especially in power system protection or high voltage apparatus
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience in selling testing equipment, instrumentation, or apparatus for the electric power industry
  • Participation in international, national, regional, or local conferences, exhibits, or seminars
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering; or certification of completion of an electronic or electrical technical education, comparable work, or military experience

Skills

  • Technical knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems and related apparatus
  • Technical knowledge of testing methodologies and maintenance practices for reliable power systems
  • Ability to present products, technologies, and test methodologies to various audiences via multiple channels
  • Ability to perform product demonstrations on-site, with or without assistance
  • Strong business ethics and personal character
  • Goal and team-oriented with willingness to collaborate
  • Understanding of business processes used by electric power companies, government agencies, manufacturers, and industrial consumers in North America
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written, speech, presentation, and negotiating skills
  • Ability to travel domestically (up to 50%); international travel may be required

Working Conditions

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly for customer communication; manual dexterity for occasional reaching, lifting objects over 50 pounds, and operating office equipment; frequent sitting, occasional bending and kneeling.
  • Work Environment: Clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated office with low to moderate noise levels.
