About the Role
In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors, the Sales-Marketing Representative conducts sales activities and implements strategies to increase the membership (consumers) of Mount Carmel Health Plan's (MCHP's) Medicare Advantage insurance products (HMOs/PPOs).
Responsibilities
- Develop sales territory through key senior and community contacts to heighten awareness of MCHP products.
- Handle all aspects of daily sales operations within the territory, including monthly educational meetings, special events, sales seminars, and telesales activity.
- Ensure compliance of all personal sales activities with internal policies, CMS, Ohio Department of Insurance, NCQA, and applicable Federal regulations.
- Routinely report sales activities, problem issues, targeted resolutions, and their status.
- Follow up on all leads for sales closures via phone, in-office, and during external consumer engagements.
- Participate in routine and documented staff meetings covering sales issues, goals, education, job assignments, and quality improvement strategies.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, nursing, social work, education, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Active State Insurance License (Health/Disability). Must pass the state license exam for Accident and Health Insurance prior to starting and obtain full licensure within 30 days.
- Experience with governmental agencies and regulations, especially Medicare and CMS.
- Effective communication skills.
