Responsibilities
- Drives leasing performance by responding to and following up on inquiries from prospective residents across inbound and outbound channels.
- Counsels discovery conversations to understand prospect needs and preferences, presents available homes in a compelling and tailored manner, overcomes objections, and closes leases.
- Negotiates lease offers and clearly presents lease terms to prospective residents.
- Executes and explains leases and related documents to incoming residents.
- Partners with internal stakeholders (e.g., underwriting and lease writing teams) to move applicants efficiently through the leasing process.
- Maintains current knowledge of inventory, pricing, market conditions, and company policies and procedures to position the company competitively in every sales interaction.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum three (3) years of sales or customer-facing sales experience required.
- Leasing, real estate, or property management experience preferred.
- A State Real Estate License required.
- Demonstrated sales ability including prospecting, needs discovery, persuasive presentation, objection handling, and closing.
- Strong influence and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and guide prospects toward a decision with confidence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and the ability to tailor messaging to individual prospective needs.
- Strong relationship management and customer service orientation with a genuine drive to deliver exceptional resident experience.
- A results-oriented with a sense of urgency; motivated by performance metrics and conversion outcomes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
Pay
The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $25.00 hourly. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.
