About the role

Erected in Strawberry Village, Ernesta seeks a dedicated Sales and Design Consultant (Design Assistant) to lead the retail team. This role is pivotal in shaping an unparalleled customer experience and driving sales through strategic customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Set the industry benchmark for customer service and sales
• Drive sales through targeted customer follow-ups and outreach
• Deliver top-notch design and product knowledge to customers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and brand-consistent showroom
• Provide a seamless and personalized experience across various channels
• Advise customers on spatial planning, material selection, and custom rug measurements
• Handle inquiries and resolve order-related issues efficiently
• Create memorable experiences and exceed customer expectations
• Stay updated on home decor trends and utilize innovative technologies for visualization
• Establish and refine internal processes for continuous improvement
• Willing to adapt to a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a consumer-facing role
• At least 2 years of direct consumer sales and/or account management experience
• A passion for interior design and home decor
• Keen on staying informed about current trends and developments
• Able to communicate effectively and build trust with customers
• Self-motivated, curious, empathetic, and skilled at active listening
• Solutions-oriented with strong business acumen and integrity
• Proficient in using various online tools and software, including design and spatial planning tools
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills with high accountability
• Able to establish and improve internal processes and foster feedback loops

Nice to have

• Experience with design tools and spatial planning
• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in a creative field (e.g., interior design, art history, architecture)

Benefits

The anticipated starting base pay for this role ranges between $20 - $30 per hour. The actual pay is determined by various factors including experience, education, and skills.
