About the role

Sumitomo SHI FW Energy North America Corporation is looking for an experienced, motivated, and self-driven Customer Care & Business Development Manager to join their Services team in the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop SFW’s Services business in the US market, with a strong focus on lifecycle extension projects, including technology modernizations and upgrades.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and act as a trusted partner throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify customer needs and develop lifecycle service opportunities supporting customers’ operational, reliability, and decarbonization targets.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary global teams across SFW’s Services division and serve as a key point of contact for external partners and customers throughout the USA to identify and develop new business and commercial opportunities.
  • Represent SFW’s portfolio, values, and culture at industry trade fairs and in external customer and partner engagements across the Americas.
  • Develop and define technical concepts and execution models together with SFW lifecycle services, technical support, and commercial teams.
  • Work closely with regional and global stakeholders to support profitable growth and strengthen SFW’s market position in the Americas.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of sales processes, business development practices, and customer engagement models.
  • Independently manage customer activities, sales opportunities, and business development initiatives in a remote working environment.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or a comparable field.
  • Experience in B2B industrial technology sales, customer care, or sales management within an international environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the US power industry, including fluidized bed boiler technologies, decarbonization solutions, and lifecycle services.
  • Experience with commercial sales management tools such as CRM systems, Salesforce reporting, analytics solutions, and managing virtual teams.
  • Ability to communicate confidently across organizational levels and cultures in fluent English. Spanish is considered an advantage.
  • Strong commercial mindset combined with a customer-focused and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and proactively drive opportunities in a complex international environment.
  • Comfortable working remotely with a high level of accountability and self-leadership.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
