Sales Account Representative
About the role
GSW Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Sales Account Representative to manage and grow customer accounts within a manufacturing environment. This role is well-suited for candidates with prior account management or sales experience, as well as those earlier in their careers who are ready to take ownership of customer relationships and commercial activities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through timely communication, issue resolution, and follow-through
- Cook up and coordinate customer visits, prepare objectives, and document outcomes for internal alignment
- Support pricing, forecasting, product realization, and long-term account growth
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts by understanding customer product plans, market conditions, and industry trends
- Support negotiations related to pricing, tooling costs, phase-outs, and commercial changes
- Lead discussions to clarify customer requirements and align expectations with engineering, purchasing, production, and management
- Support product realization and VAVE activities and track related action items
- Develop and maintain customer sales forecasts, budgets, and material price lists
- Support sales reporting and planning activities to inform business decisions
- Partners with manufacturing and support teams and includes periodic travel to customer and supplier locations, including international travel
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field
Experience: Experience in customer relations, account management, sales, or a similar role is strongly preferred
Candidates earlier in their career with strong communication skills, business aptitude, and interest in manufacturing sales will also be considered
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, customer requests, and projects in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort presenting information, leading discussions, and representing the organization professionally
Even Better If You Have
- Experience in OEM or Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environments
- Exposure to RFQs, pricing models, product realization, or VAVE activities
- Basic understanding of cost accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems, sales forecasting tools, or customer portals
- Ability to read or interpret wire harness or terminal drawings (or willingness to learn)
- Basic understanding of cost accounting principles

Pay & Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt, in-person role with standard daytime hours and flexibility as needed to support customer and business requirements.
