About the role
Focus on supporting assigned accounts while identifying new sales and business opportunities. Develop positive customer relationships to understand needs, provide solutions, respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and achieve sales targets and revenue goals. Facilitate cross-sell opportunities, new account prospecting, and sales calls. Build knowledge of company products, customer landscape, sales processes, and industry trends.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Proactively provide information about accounts, products, services, pricing, service changes, shipping, and related details.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, product development, marketing) to resolve customer issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipelines.
- Utilize systems such as order processes, Salesforce/Power BI, inventory management, logistics, and supply/demand planning.
- Analyze customer accounts to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Present and promote products or services to existing customers.
- Assist in preparing and delivering sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals.
- Educate clients on product benefits and features.
- Initiate and close sales calls under guidance from sales management or senior team members.
- Generate regular reports on sales performance and account status, interpreting data to leverage company position (e.g., ranking, ACV, market share).
- Participate in meetings with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and customer needs.
- May be accountable for delivering assigned volume, profit, and administrative targets for the region or accounts.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in business, sales, marketing, or related field (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
- 2+ years of experience in customer-facing roles or sales support within the food and beverage industry, or demonstrated aptitude for sales account management.
- Certification and/or license may be required during employment.
Skills
- Knowledge of sales techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong organizational skills to manage time, energy, and resources effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing needs, and resolve problems.
- Commitment to delivering on deadlines and working independently or as part of a team.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Pay
$85,000 - $90,000
